Some possible habitsYou don't need an account, don't have to download, just go to betterlaterapp.github.io (even offline).
More about privacySelves don't let selves lie to themselves. You're doing better than you think. Better Later can help you see success incrementally with tangible metrics.
Start trackingWhen attempting to cut back, it's essential to make smart goals. It's common to underestimate how much you're doing something if you let it be subconcious. Start by trying to identify how much you really do and spend on your habit!
Don't start by trying to quit. Start by waiting longer than normal. Try to wait an hour longer than usual, for example. It is incredibly important to motivation and success that you are able to track your successes. Find ways to incentivize yourself. Even if quitting is your ultimate goal, the small wins are what's going get you there.
Recognizing the number of times you've thought about doing it, but decided not to is near impossible. Knowing precisely how often you give into a craving is all about giving more weight to resisting action. If you track your successes with an app, you'll be able to see exactly how hard you're already fighting.
You're doing better than you think. Better Later can help you by leaving a physical remainder when you 'resist', so you can begin to tip the scales in your favor.
Better Later generates visualizations of your habit that you can use to make more informed choices in the moment. Keeping track of your own behavior can be enough to force you out of autopilot!
